Bandeoke

Get ready for something a little different… and a lot of fun! We’re bringing you Bandeoke — karaoke, but with a live band! That’s right — you or your group can take to the stage and sing your favourite tune, backed by a professional band. Whether you’re a seasoned performer, a shower superstar, or just up for a laugh, it’s your moment to shine!

What is Bandeoke?

• A live band plays while you sing on stage — solo, duet, or as a small group (up to 4–6 people max).
• Lyrics appear on a screen so you don’t need to memorise anything.
• It’s open to everyone — no experience needed!
• It’s all about fun, confidence, and giving it a go.

Important Notes

• We’ll do our best to include as many acts as can, but not everyone will be able to perform.
• We recommend letting children know in advance that there may not be time for every singer — and that being part of the audience and cheering on others is a big part of the fun!
• If you don’t want to sing, come and cheer everyone on — the more support, the better the vibe!

How to take part

We’ll be selecting a mix of pre-registered performers and spontaneous sign-ups on the night to come up and sing. Due to time limits, not everyone will be able to perform — so here’s how it works:

Option 1. Pre-Register (Before the Event)

Feeling keen and want to get organised? Fill out our quick Google Form with your name(s) and
song choice:

  • Sign up link will go live on this page soon.
  • We’ll be picking at least a handful of acts at random from the pre-registered entries to perform on the night (gives you time to practise if you’re chosen!). Chosen singers will be notified ahead of time or announced at the event. You can sing solo, as a duo, or in a small group.

Option 2. Sign Up on the Day

  • Song menus and blank sign-up sheets will be available at the stage area.
  • Write your name and song choice, and hand it in to the compère.
  • We’ll be drawing names randomly as the night goes on, mixing these in with pre-registered acts.

Tips for Performers

  • You don’t need to memorise the lyrics – but a quick listen to your chosen song beforehand helps!
  • Keep an ear out for your name being called – we’ll announce 2–3 acts at a time to keep the energy flowing.
  • Bring your energy – not perfection.
  • Most importantly… have fun with it!
